How to clean lash extensions
Proper cleansing of lash extensions is CRUCIAL for not only longevity of the lashes but overall lash health and appearance. Dirty volume lashes will clump together trapping oil, makeup, dead skin cells as well as many environmental elements in the lash line. This not only creates an unsightly set of lash extensions but risks infection!

Before Your Appointment
I use super sharp tweezers and separating lashes is a very delicate procedure. You must stay completely still for the treatment. Constant fidgeting will make it difficult for me to do my job and make the appointment take longer.
-I suggest no caffeine before the appointment as this can make it difficult for you to relax.
-Your lashes cannot get wet for 24 hours please workout, shower etc before your appointment!
-A tip to keep you relaxed is bring headphones and listen to music during your treatment.
-Avoid face creams and mascara before appointment
After Your Appointment
-NO MASCARA on the extensions
-No moisture of any kind for the first 24 hours following an appointment
-Wash your lashes 2-3 times a week.
-Brush them out once they are dry.
-avoid all oils and sunscreen (some liquid liners also!)
-Avoid letting your shampoo/conditioner/any hair treatments from running down your face and into your lashes.
RetentionTroubleshooting
-face creams with glycol or glycerin
-used waterproof mascara before appointment
-foundation or concealers around the eyes migrating
-thyroid imbalance
-menstrual cycle (2-3 days before and after menstruation, there is a restructuring of hormones and hormones play a huge role in lash retention)
-increased tears for various reasons.
-antibiotics
-hormonal imbalance
-excessively oily skin and lashes
-touching lashes too frequently
-sleeping face down on the pillow
-vaping
Tips for your appointment
tips to ensure your lash appointment flows as quickly and smoothly as possible
earbuds- the more relaxed you are the quicker and more efficiently I can work. Listening to an audio book or music that you like can set you at ease.
no talking-when you talk it moves your cheeks which may result in the pads and tape on the bottom lashes shifting up and scratching the eye
keep movement to a minimum-while cracking your knuckles or wiggling your feet may not seem like big movements, any little movements tend to affect the eyes which makes it difficult to properly isolate the lashes and properly adhering the extension to the lash.
no cell phone use-as stated above talking makes my job difficult and will slow your service.
turn your ringer off- leaving your ringer on is a safety hazard. When clients are taking their lash nap and I am in the zone, a sudden loud beep or ringer can surprise me and cause me to jump. These tweezers are VERY sharp, trust me, you do not want to be poked in the eyelid. Besides that its disruptive and causes me to lose concentration.
squinting/squeezing lids tight together-if your eyes are sensitive and you have tendency to squeeze your eyes repeatedly you may not be a good candidate for extensions. When you suddenly squeeze the lids together it will pull the extensions tightly together causing them to stick or repeatedly pull extensions I am trying to place, out of the tweezer.
What are Lash Extensions

So what do all these words even mean?
wispy- this means they're more fluffy and natural looking. The top edge of the lashes will be several lengths instead of one blunt, solid line which looks more natural.
Lash extensions are synthetic lash fibers that come in a huge variety of lengths, thicknesses (diameter) and curls.
These fibers are adhered to individual natural lashes in ratios from 1 single fiber (classic lashes), to 2-5 fibers (volume) or up to 6-20 fibers (mega volume).

Why do I need fills?
As your natural lashes shed (yep, totally normal), your extensions fall out with them—usually around 2-3 weeks in. Lashes that are very grown out can also break from the weight of the extension being on the tip of the natural lash and no longer supported. Fills help remove these out grown lashes to prevent damage and ensure the overall shape stays in tact.
A fill also replaces the lost lashes, maintains your desired look, and keeps everything balanced so you don’t end up with gaps or uneven lashes.
