Glow isn’t a filter—it’s consistent care. Below is a realistic timeline we follow with our brides in Florida’s sun + humidity. Consider this your calm, luxury checklist: simple steps, real results, zero chaos and flawless wedding skin.
Ideally, start your skincare routine at least a year before your big day. This allows ample time for your skin to adapt to new products and treatments. Your esthetician may recommend a series of facials, peels, or microdermabrasion sessions to address specific concerns and enhance your skin's overall health.
Your Bridal Glow Timeline (at a glance)
6-12 months
Build the foundation
A simple yet effective daily skincare routine involves cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.
8–12 Weeks
Refine & steady
Stick to what works. Schedule gentle brightening or hydration facials. Avoid trying new actives. Finalize spray tan plan and hair-removal cadence.
2–4 Weeks
Hydrate & calm
Last in‑clinic treatments should be soothing (no aggressive peels). Book waxes, dermaplaning you’ve already patch‑tested, and your final facial 10–14 days out.
Week‑Of
Lock in glow
Dial down acids/retinoids ~5–7 days prior. Focus on HA serums, ceramides, sleep, water, and gentle masking. Spray tan ~48 hours before if you’re tanning.
Wedding Day
Less but better
Soft cleanse, hydrate, SPF if outdoors pre‑makeup. Lip balm, no heavy oils. Arrive with clean, dry skin—ready for your “natural glam.”
Pro Note: WATER! Most people severely underestimate the effects of water...or lack there of on skin. The key to beautiful makeup that doesn't look cakey is hydrated skin that wont suck up every ounce of moisture from the makeup leaving textured cakey makeup.
Your simple AM/PM routine
-
AM: gentle cleanse → Vitamin C or antioxidant serum → lightweight moisturizer → SPF 30–50.
-
PM: cleanse → retinol or peptide serum → moisturizer (option: HA layer for extra hydration).
-
Weekly: one gentle exfoliation (enzyme or lactic) if your skin tolerates it.
Sensitive? Swap retinol for peptides and keep exfoliation enzyme‑only. We’ll tailor at your trial.
Treatments we love (timed right)
-
Hydration or brightening facials (monthly)
-
Microneedling/laser (6–9 months out; not last‑minute)
-
Dermaplaning only if you’ve test‑driven it
-
Chemical peels scheduled 1–2+ months out based on strength
