Waxing is more painful during your menstrual cycle!
Ingrown hairs
Ingrown hairs happen when new hair becomes trapped beneath dead skin or curls back into the skin as it grows. Waxing removes hair from the root, so regrowth is softer and finer, which can sometimes make it harder for the hair to break through the skin. To help prevent ingrowns, begin gentle exfoliation 2–3 days after waxing, exfoliate 2–3 times per week, keep the area moisturized, avoid tight clothing and friction, and do not pick or squeeze bumps.

How long should my hair be?
Hair should be approximately ¼ inch long, or about the length of a grain of rice. Hair that is too short may not be removed completely.
How long should I stop shaving before my appointment?
Allow at least 2 weeks of growth whenever possible.
What should I wear to a bikini wax?
Wear a thong, bikini-style underwear, or swimsuit bottom. Choose an older pair you do not mind getting wax or product on.
Do you provide disposable underwear?
Disposable underwear is not required for bikini or extended bikini waxing. Your underwear or swimsuit bottom will be used as the guide for the desired wax line.
What is included in a bikini wax?
A bikini wax removes hair that extends outside a standard bikini or underwear line.
What is included in an extended bikini wax?
An extended bikini wax removes more hair from the sides and upper bikini area than a standard bikini wax. About 2 finger lengths width inside the standard bikini line.
I got a ton of tiny bumps after my wax!
Temporary redness, tenderness, or small bumps may occur after waxing. Bumps are usually a histamine reaction from being wax. These usually settle within several hours. Contact a medical professional if you develop severe swelling, blistering, spreading redness, or signs of infection.
Can I wax if I am pregnant?
Waxing is generally possible during pregnancy, but increased sensitivity is common. Consult your medical provider when appropriate and let your wax specialist know before the service.
Can I wax if I use retinol or acne medication?
Some prescription and over-the-counter skincare products can make the skin more fragile and increase the risk of lifting or irritation. Disclose all retinoids, acne medications, exfoliating products, peels, and recent skin treatments before your appointment.
