Why We Schedule Your Bridal Preview Closer to the Wedding
We’re intentional about timing. Your Bridal Preview happens 4–8 weeks out so it reflects your real hair length and condition, current skin tone, final dress/accessories—and the season you’ll actually be marrying in. That’s how we deliver looks that last in Emerald Coast weather.
Why earlier isn’t better
1) Final decisions aren’t final yet
Gown neckline, veil, jewelry, color palette, and venue lighting shape your beauty direction. Six–twelve months out, these are often still in flux—so an early “trial” becomes a redo later because hair and makeup styles tend to evolved with other choices.
2) Hair & skin change (a lot)
Length, color, density, damage/repair, tans, and skincare all shift across seasons. We preview close to the date to match your current canvas for hold, color accuracy, and texture.
3) Season & weather matter
Florida humidity, beach breeze, and heat change how curls hold and how makeup wears. Close-in previews let us stress-test the look in conditions similar to your wedding day.
4) Timeline accuracy
We time your services based on your actual hair length/condition and chosen style (extensions, waves/updo). That creates a calm, accurate wedding-morning schedule.
“But a Facebook group said trials should be ASAP…”
Booking your artist early? Absolutely. Previewing early? Not always wise. Major wedding publishers and pro teams commonly guide brides to plan the preview in the last couple months so it mirrors reality—and avoids paying twice for a look that has to change anyway.
What to do early (months out)
-
Secure your date with contract + retainer.
-
Consult on vibe, inspo, and accessory decisions (veil, clip-ins, hair pieces).
-
Hair plan: decide on grow-out vs trim; color maintenance cadence.
-
Skin plan: steady, gentle routine—not new actives right before the preview.
When we preview (and why)
We aim for 2 months out. It’s close enough to capture your final look with your current hair length/color, skin condition/texture/color—but leaves room for small adjustments.
Sample timing at a glance
-
6–12+ months: reserve artist; plan hair growth/color strategy; steady skincare.
-
8–10 weeks: confirm inspo with final dress/veil; decide on extensions.
-
4–8 weeks: Bridal Preview (full rehearsal under current conditions).
-
2–3 weeks: tiny tweaks (lip tone, parting, pin placement) if needed.
FAQ
Can I just to a second trial? Absolutely, you can do as many trials as you wish based on availability. Pricing will apply for each.
What if I want a super early preview anyway? Then we can absolutely do your preview early, in which case I would recommend another preview closer to the wedding to really double check and finalize your look.
When should I schedule it? About 2 months before the wedding—after your dress and overall style are set.
